A China sourcing agent watches project involves coordinating several components that directly affect product quality and brand positioning. The movement, case, crystal, crown, dial, hands, strap, clasp and packaging may come from different specialist suppliers even when final assembly happens at one factory.
Define the Watch Specification
Start with case size, case material, movement type, dial design, crystal, strap material, clasp, crown, water-resistance target, branding, packaging and estimated quantity.
Movement Selection
The movement is one of the most important components. Buyers should confirm movement model, origin, functions, battery type where applicable and replacement availability.
Case and Crystal
Case material, plating, polishing, brushing and crystal type affect both appearance and durability. Samples should be reviewed under normal handling conditions rather than only from product photos.
Dial, Hands and Branding
Logo placement, printing quality, indices, lume, hand alignment and color matching should be documented before production. Small visual errors can be very noticeable on a watch face.
Straps and Clasps
Leather, silicone, stainless steel and fabric straps require different suppliers and QC points. Confirm material, thickness, stitching, buckle finish and attachment method.
Water-Resistance Requirements
Do not treat water resistance as a marketing phrase. The target test requirement should be clearly specified, and the buyer should understand what testing the factory performs on the exact model.
OEM Development
Custom watches may require dial artwork, caseback engraving, custom crowns, hands, straps, packaging or tooling. Buyers should confirm MOQ and development cost for each customized component.
Sample Approval
Use samples to review movement function, case finish, alignment, crystal, strap quality, logo accuracy, packaging and the overall feel of the finished product.
Production QC
Inspection can include timekeeping function, visual finish, hand alignment, crown operation, strap and clasp, markings, packaging and agreed water-resistance checks.
